Here is our weekly schedule: Monday - Day 2 - Rosary Assembly (AM), French Concert (PM) Tuesday - Day 3 Wednesday - Day 4 - Library period, *Borrow-a-books are due* Thursday - Day 5 Friday - Day 1 Our words of the week are:
French - We will be reading a story about littering this week entitled "Une cour propre" and will use a graphic organizer to plot out the elements of the story. Then, students will be using a similar graphic organizer to brainstorm and plot out ideas to write their own story. Math - we will be continuing with patterning this week, focussing on identifying, extending, and creating number patterns. Students will also be completing a cumulative assignment on patterning. Students will be allowed to use their notes and any manipulatives in order to complete the task. Science - we will be learniing about natural forces this week and using Chromebooks to do research in small groups on various natural forces (tornadoes, tsunamis, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, etc.), which they will informally share with the class. We will also be reviewing the forces we have learned. Next week students will be having a small test to sum up our unit on Forces. A note will be sent home this week with further explanation. Religion - we began to make posters last week on how we can share the fruits of the Holy Spirit, which students will finish this week. Additionally, students will be working in small groups to read short Bible passages about how Jesus shared his gifts of the Holy Spirit and will be re-enacting their selected scenes to share with the class. |
