Math - we will begin subtraction this week, starting with a review of facts to 20 and then 2 digit numbers. Due to our busy week, we will most likely begin subtraction with 3 digit numbers after the break. We will explore various strategies for subtracting, such as using an open number line, adding up, as well as the standard algorithm. Social Studies - students will be finishing their culminating task of writing a journal based on a day in the life of a pioneer or aboriginal in Upper Canada between 1780-1850. Religion - we will be focusing on Joy this week for the third week of advent. |
